NIKE SB “SNT”
WHAT: Shoe design by Ivan Jimenez to create a homage to the architectural icon known as “Plaça del Paisos Catalans” in Barcelona: A cultural icon in skateboarding history. Creative & art direction, materials, graphic elements, and approval process. Worked closely with senior designer Chris Reed (Global HQ in the US). Product launch and marketing strategy. First Nike SB shoe designed by a European.
SCOPE: Project pitch to the Nike leadership in Portland, OR, cross-functional alignment and project shape in Europe alongside the European team. Local launch in Barcelona, Spain, with the local community, PR support by Nike, content, and planning, including sales (Sold worldwide).
PRODUCT: Footwear design and domestic marketing & go-to-market strategy.
